Here is an overview of how to locate the engine fuse box in your vehicle. Engine fuse boxes are typically situated near the battery. In this vehicle, the battery is on the driver’s side, and there is a fuse box right above it with a black plastic cover to protect the fuses.
On the passenger side, there is also a battery, and the fuse box is located nearby. You will often find tabs on the side of the fuse box cover that need to be pressed in to release them.
While most vehicles have the battery in the engine bay, some may not. In such cases, check the trunk for both the battery and the fuse box.
To identify the location of the fuse that protects the circuit you are interested in, refer to your owner’s manual. The manual will provide information on the fuse’s amperage, its location, and the circuit it safeguards.
Next, check the cover of the fuse box to locate the specific fuse in question. Many fuse boxes will contain a fuse puller, but if you don’t have one, a pair of needle-nose pliers will work just as effectively to remove and replace the fuse.
